Worcestershire County League Fair Play Award 2016
We are delighted to announce that the club has picked up the Fair Play Award for the 2016 season.
This is an annual award through the Worcestershire County League where we compete on a Saturday throughout the season. The team who came top, across all divisions within the Worcestershire County League, resulted in our prestigious award. The award accumulates by a points based system, when marked by official match Umpires for there attitude and endeavor to play the game in an exceptional sporting manner in all circumstances.
The 1st XI picked up the award, skippered by Craig Hughes, who went on to discuss the award
“We try to play the game hard and fair and I am very proud that we picked up this award. It shows the effort we put in to make anyone that visits the club, from the umpires to the opposition, the fans all feel very welcome in our friendly environment. “
The Award was collected at the Annual Worcestershire League Dinner by our club representative Paul Athey (pictured with BBC Midlands Today Presenter Nick Owen).
