Avoncroft Under 8’s performed exceptionally well in the opening festival of the 2019 season.
With only 4 players out of the 11 with previous match experience, it was a very much changed squad that arrived at Bromsgrove CC.
In the first match, only losing out to the hosts (Bromsgrove) by just 2 runs, all the debutants performed well. The second match was again a close encounter, coming out on top with a win against a Coombs side by just 3 runs. The last match saw a more comfortable victory, 17 runs the difference against Barnt Green.
An outstanding performance, well done to all involved.
